Security Operatives Arrest Ammunition Courier In Zamfara

Operatives of the Zamfara State Community Protection Guards (ZSCPG) have arrested a suspected ammunition Courier in the state.

The suspect, Zayyanu Abdullahi was apprehended on Sunday, along the Anka-Bagega road in the state, while allegedly transporting ammunition.

disclosed via his handle on Sunday that the arrest was carried out by troops in collaboration with the ZSCPG following a tip-off from residents regarding suspicious movements in the area.

Makama noted that during the search, he was found in possession of 35 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition concealed in a wrapper.

Preliminary investigations further indicated that Abdullahi was en route to deliver the ammunition to an individual identified as Wadata in Bagega town.

The suspect has however been taken to custody, while security operatives intensify efforts to apprehend Wadata and any other individuals potentially connected to the case.
