No fewer than six persons have been confirmed dead in a road accident involving multiple cars at Oke Eleshin, Amuloko area of Oyo state.
According to eyewitness reports, a trailer lost control and rammed into five vehicles on Monday.
The Oyo State FRSC Public Education Officer, Mayowa Odewo, who confirmed the incident said five persons were injured in the accident.
According to Odewo, eleven persons were involved in the accident, with five vehicles (two tricycles, two trucks and a Sienna car).
He said the five injured persons had been taken to Amuloko City Hospital by good Samaritans, while the corpses were taken to University College Hospital, Ibadan, before the arrival of FRSC personnel.
Odewo urged drivers to adhere strictly to road safety rules and regulations in order to reduce avoidable crashes.

Subsequently, the FRSC announced plans to launch a special patrol team to enforce traffic rules on Nigerian highways.
