Two Million Nigerians To Benefit From FG’s Training On Creativity

The Ministry of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy’s flagship initiative, the Creative Leap Accelerator Platform (CLAP), aims to revolutionize Nigeria’s creative sector by upskilling over two million youths by 2027.

A statement from the office of the Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, signed by Dr. Nneka Anibeze, Special Assistant for Media and Publicity, revealed that the program seeks to empower the next generation of creative talent, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and cultural preservation.

According to the statement, the Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa, is leveraging technology to position Nigeria as a global leader in creative innovation, empowering the next generation of creative talent.

It added that the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) has inaugurated an operational committee to drive the initiative.

The initiative launched by Musawa in August, is chaired by the Director General of the NCAC, Mr. Obi Asika.

The committee comprises members from the Minister’s Office, NCAC, and private sector partners.

“By 2027, the initiative aims to upskill over two million Nigerian youths, empowering the next generation of creative talent. The NCAC’s innovative digital repository, will curate Nigerian history and culture, providing global black connectivity. This coordinated approach promises to deliver a comprehensive, accessible support system for the creative community,” the statement noted.
