The Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC), has slated 16th November for the conduct of local government councils election.
This was made known by the state chairman of the commission, Alhaji Bala Aliyu Gusau, at a press conference in his office Monday.
According to him, the exercise was based on the Law Number 4, Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission, which gives the commission power to conduct the election in the 14 local governments and councillorship seat.
Gusau said the sales of forms among aspirant and its submission date would begin on 25 Oct to 1st November.
He explained that the commission had concluded all arrangements to conduct the election in the state.
“We have concluded all arrangements for the conduct of the 14 local government areas election and we are hoping hitch-free election in the state”, he said.
