The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra state, Thursday, vowed to embark on grassroots mobilisation and reconciliation with a view to reposition towards defeating Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2025 gubernatorial poll.
The state chairman of the party, Mr Chidi Chidebe, disclosed this at a PDP unity gala, which also served as a valedictory ceremony for the outgoing caretaker committee, a grand reception for newly elected state executives, and a strategic meeting held in Awka.
Chidebe, who empowered the party’s wards and local government executives for the task ahead, announced several committees, which according to him, would drive membership reconciliation, build the people’s confidence, mobilise resources and others for their victory in 2025 and 2027 general election.
According to him, the PDP under his watch would promote the members’ welfare through celebration, rewards and awards to distinguished and loyal members for continuous unity and progress of the party.
Also speaking, the former state chairman of the party, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu, said the era of supporting oppositions to defeat PDP candidates in general and state elections in Anambra was over, as all the stakeholders had resolved to support the new leadership and potential candidates to win at the 2025 and 2025 elections.
