Hot Frosty 2 Already Has A Huge Jack Mystery To Solve That Netflix's Christmas Movie Shockingly Ignored

If a Netflix Christmas movie is successful, it usually gets a sequel, meaning a second Hot Frosty film is a likely possibility, and it can answer one of the story’s unanswered mysteries. The holiday fantasy romantic comedy centers around a widow (Kathy, played by Lacey Chabert) who accidentally brings a snowman (Jack, played by Dustin Milligan) to life. Over the course of Hot Frosty, the two characters fall in love and must find a way to be together before he inevitably melts.


Other Hot Frosty cast members include Craig Robinson as Sheriff Hunter, Joe Lo Truglio as Deputy Sheriff Schatz, Katy Mixon Greer as Dottie, and Sherry Miller as Mel, the catalyst for the entire tale. Mel is the one who gives Kathy the red scarf that turns Jack into a human. Kathy stumbles upon him (as a snowman) in the town square, where a snowman-building contest takes place. She wraps the magical scarf around Jack’s neck, bringing him to life. While Hot Frosty answers most of the questions concerning the movie’s magic, it leaves out one significant reveal about Jack’s backstory.

However, the 2024 Netflix holiday rom-com never reveals who actually built Jack. The audience does not get to learn the identity of Jack’s true creator by the end of Hot Frosty.

Whatever the case, it’s surprising that
Hot Frosty
never reveals the creator’s identity, but a sequel could easily solve this problem.

The Netflix Christmas movie fails to inform viewers of one crucial piece of information regarding how Dustin Milligan’s Jack came to life. Yes, the red scarf (and Kathy) is the thing that transformed him. But, it is still important to know who was the one to craft him (masterfully so) in the first place. There is only one thing that Netflix can do to rectify this mistake — greenlight a Hot Frosty sequel.

Or the couple could track down the sculptor so that they can build more snowmen.
