The last official record of Gabby Petito is when she checked out of her hotel on August 24, 2021, but there were reported sightings until August 27. Unfortunately, Gabby Petito’s remains were found in September 2021, almost a month after she was last seen. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit season 26, episode 6, notably changes the story from this point forward.

Although “Rorschach” ends before knowing whether Ellie’s mother will pull the plug, likely, Ellie will never wake up. However, the narrative provides some hope by leaving it as a cliffhanger. In Gabby Petito’s case, that hope was dashed when authorities found her deceased body.

Until this point, it had only been widely presumed that Brian Laundrie was responsible for Petito’s murder. Furthermore, until investigators found Gabby Petito’s remains in Wyoming, it had also only been presumed that Laundrie had done something to her.
