He said: โI want to use this medium to formally appreciate and thank the government of the USA, especially my friend and Mayor of Wisconsin, Cavalier Johnson, for the donation of the medical items to AMAC, through the Wisconsin Medical Project Donations. I went to America in December 2023 requesting these items for our health centres. To the glory of God, the government of America gave us these items for free.
โWe will send the equipment to healthcare centres across the 12 wards of AMAC. We have many healthcare centres that are lacking facilities. These items are very expensive. In fact, one of the items cost 150 mullion naira. Thatโs why I had to go to America myself to plead with them to us. I told them we have many hospitals without equipment. They promised they would help us. Today, we are receiving the items for free.
โAfter taking inventory, the items will be sent to different healthcare centres and will be properly managed. We will engage experts to teach our medical personnel how to use some of the equipment because we donโt know how to operate them. We wonโt joke with the equipment because they are very expensive.โ
Maikalangu also used the opportunity to visit Municipal FM 95.3, a commercial radio station owned by AMAC Broadcasting Service (ABS), urging residents to support the radio station as it was established to disseminate information to the public and ensure their welfare.
He urged the public to advertise their business with the radio station for growth, saying the station will serve the purpose of entertainment, healthcare and also provider job opportunities for AMAC residents.
