Canada-based NXT Energy Solutions Inc. has emerged a finalist for the 26th Annual Platts Global Energy Awards which will be concluded in December.
Based in Calgary, NXT is a technology company whose proprietary airborne SFD survey system is applied in several basins around the world. The technology uses the principles of quantum mechanics to infer stress anomalies of exploration interest.
A statement on Tuesday seen by THE WHISTLER confirmed that the energy firm will be among likely winners to be announced on December 12, 2024 at a black-tie gala in downtown Manhattan.
The category of the award where NXT emerged finalist is the ‘Energy Transition Award – Upstream,’ THE WHISTLER can confirm.
The development is coming a month after the firm won ‘Best Exploration Technology’ at the concluded 2024 Gulf Energy Information Excellence Awards at the Post Oak Hotel in Houston, Texas, USA.
On the new award, the firm confirmed, “NXT Energy Solutions Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been named a finalist for the Energy Transition Award—Upstream category at the Annual Platts Global Energy Awards.
“The Platts Global Energy Awards recognize corporate and individual innovation, leadership, and exemplary performance in 19 categories spanning the entire energy and chemicals value chain.”
The nomination as finalist follows NXT’s commitment to energy transition.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of NXT, Bruce G Wilcox, said the stride is a recognition of the firm’s effort in revolutionising the global energy space.
Wilcox said, “We are deeply gratified that NXT Energy Solutions has been recognized as a finalist for the Energy Transition Award – Upstream category, especially having just been awarded ‘Best Exploration Technology’ at the 2024 Gulf Energy Information Excellence Awards.”
Awards Executive Producer, S&P Global Commodity Insights, Allison Sacco commenting on the development, explained that the award was designed to acknowledge firms that are dedicated to a sustainable energy future.
