The Nigeria Police Force has notified residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of a simulation exercise scheduled for Thursday around the Idu Train Station.
The police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the exercise was in collaboration with the National Security Adviser (ONSA) which would commence at 9 am and end at 2 pm.
According to the police, the joint operation and training exercise on crisis response, is to prepare security forces to respond appropriately and adequately to security threats in the country.
“Members of the public are hereby enjoined not to panic as the exercise, which will come with heavy sounds of explosives, will be carried out in a controlled environment with no possible danger to residents as it is aimed at simulating response to emergency situations,” the notification read.
