The Stakes Are High In Squid Game Season 2

The new trailer for Squid Game season 2 displays how the Netflix series will contain the signature elements while adding some variation. In particular, Gi-hun is now a knowledgeable player in these games, rather than an unfortunate victim of the system. However, even a similar setup poses a challenge since season 2 has to reinvent itself and introduce a whole new series of players for the next set of games. This is because the Squid Game season 1 ending concluded with Gi-hun as the sole winner, while Hwang Jun-ho seems to have survived his fall based on the previews.

Gi-hun’s revolution against the game creators also suggests a different kind of battle in season 2, even if it still has some classic games like “Red Light Green Light.”
