Bauchi state Governor Bala Mohammed on Friday signed the state’s 2025 budget of N467, 855,248,317.12k into law.
Governor Bala said the signed budget would take effect from January 01, 2025, and commended members of the House of Assembly for their commitment to the review of the proposal submitted leading to the final approval of the 2025 budget.
He said the 2025 budget represented the bold mission of his administration to the development of Bauchi state and gave the assurance that other sources of revenue would be leveraged to optimise budget performance of the state.
Speaker of the House Abubakar Sulaiman said after all the necessary legislative procedure and review of the budget, the House marked up the budget from over N465 billion to N467 billion to accommodate developmental needs of the state.
He said the House increased the budget size by about N2 billion, adding that the House through various committees meticulously reviewed the proposal to ensure that adequate resources were allocated to all sectors.
