Dune: Prophecy is an ensemble series with actors from various backgrounds. Telling the story of the creation of the Bene Gesserit, the show features a leading cast including Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds, Travis Fimmel, and Jodhi May. The Dune franchise show got decent reviews overall, and recently wrapped up its tenure on Max. Dune: Prophecy season 2 was officially confirmed, allowing the creators to continue their story.
The primary cast members in the show are women, but Australian-born cast member Fimmel is one with an interesting career history. He has been on TV before, perhaps most notably playing Ragnar Lothbrok in the TV series Vikings. In addition to Vikings, Fimmel’s career has included playing the titular jungle-dweller in the 2003 TV series adaptation of Tarzan, as well as a role in the series The Beast. Now, one of Fimmel’s key cinematic works is switching streaming homes soon.
Warcraft Is Coming To Max
And It Is Coming Soon
Warcraft is now moving to Max. The 2016 film is based on the video game series of the same name, and tells the story of humans and dissenting Orcs who have to stand up against a horde of Orcs who invade the planet Azeroth. In addition to Fimmel, Warcraft features a leading cast including Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, and Ben Schnetzer. Warcraft was panned by critics, who gave it a 29% Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite these lackluster reviews, the film did decently at the box office, taking in $439 million against a $160 million budget.

Now, Warcraft is changing streaming homes. The video game adaptation will be coming to Max in just a few days, arriving on January 1. This comes after Warcraft did well on Netflix earlier this year. Its success indicates that the movie may end up doing well on Max by the time it gets to the platform.

Why You Should Watch Warcraft On Max
It Is An Important Video Game Adaptation
Warcraft is not the only video game adaptation arriving at Max soon. The streamer has also announced that they will be getting the Tom Holland film Uncharted later in January. Prior to Uncharted‘s arrival, Warcraft is a great pick for those who are fans of video game adaptations. It takes inspiration from a major franchise, so it is interesting to see what the movie does with the source material. Furthermore, it provides a taste of Fimmel’s work for those missing his part in Dune: Prophecy.
What ScreenRant has said about Warcraft:
Jones keeps his focus narrow – centering on six main characters joined by interconnecting relationships and motivations. The goal is clear: capture as many different perspectives on the war as possible – in an effort to ensure that, like the game itself, there are heroes and villains on both sides of the conflict. Yet, attempting to develop and service so many viewpoints, not to mention established characters, only ensures that no one person or thematic through-line is fleshed-out. Friendships come easy, romance is forced, sacrifices fall flat, and twists carry little emotional weight – most attempts to expand on fantasy tropes, and opportunities that could have drawn non-Warcraft players into the story, only move the plot (rather than the characters) forward.
