It premiered on February 23 and airs new installments on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET. The show centers around four central characters, with the official synopsis reading: “Four members of a suburban garden club find their lives intertwined by scandal, mischief and a shared secret — a murder no one wants to talk about; as dark truths surface, they struggle to remain as perfect as the flowers blooming in their garden.”
There are currently two episodes available to stream on Peacock, alternating between the past, present, and future. The series was created by Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs, who serve as co-showrunners and executive producers alongside Casey Kyber. Aja Naomi King, Melissa Fumero, Ben Rappaport, and AnnaSophia Robb make up the main cast.

Robb And King Were Shocked By The Pilot’s Heartbreaking Death
“I was like, ‘Oh my God! What is this? What is this show going to be?’ Because that’s dark.”
ScreenRant: When you first read the pilot, what moment surprised you most?
AnnaSophia Robb: When I found out the dog was shot. I remember gasping when I got to that page. I thought, “They went there! Oh my.” And it really delighted me because I was surprised, and I was shocked, and I laughed, and I also thought, “Oh, this took a dark turn, and I’m into it.”
Aja Naomi King: Yes. That moment was also very shocking for me—that your dog was shot. I was like, “Oh my God! What is this? What is this show going to be?” Because that’s dark. I think, for me, one of the big surprising moments for my character in the pilot that I really enjoyed was—in reading the pilot script, the show had such fun energy to it, but also these really beautifully grounded moments.
So the conversation I had with Melissa’s character, Birdie, about not leaving my marriage because I have kids, it was the kind of scene that I read where I was like, “I want to do this. I want to do this scene.” It just touched a chord for me, and I felt like, “If this show is capable of giving us such high highs in terms of comedy and ridiculousness, but then also these really grounded beats,” I was like, “This is going to be a fun playground, and I want to be here.”
What can you tease about the feud between Alice and Payton? Does that continue?
AnnaSophia Robb: Yes, we’ll see it play out. Alice needs to trust her gut, and she trusts her gut. Sometimes she takes it a little too far. I think of her like a bulldog sometimes where she gets an idea in her head and she just can’t let it go because she wants to know. She has a very inquisitive mind and she also has this sense of justice where she needs to prove her point. She needs to be right.
She doesn’t always want to be right, but she has to have a resolution and it causes so much chaos in her life, and I can relate to it. But I love that she gets herself into trouble because it’s such a real thing for any person to sort of get in their own way, and she gets in her own way. And like Aja was saying, we have these high highs and low lows, but we’re able to go through these peaks and valleys with Alice because, at the center of it, she means well, but she just keeps making the wrong choice. And so it’s a really fun character to play because she continually messes up.
King Calls Catherine And Birdie A “Power Couple”
“Game recognizes game. At first, they’re a little adversarial, but then they see the potential in one another.”
I love the unexpected camaraderie that forms between Catherine and Birdie. Will that friendship continue to develop this season?
Aja Naomi King: Yes it will. You see it immediately. Game recognizes game. At first, they’re a little adversarial, but then they see the potential in one another, and they understand that their alliance with each other would make them very powerful. They’re like a power couple. Yes, I like this now. They are power couple. [Laughs]
Do you still have more to film of these 13 episodes?
Aja Naomi King: Yes, 13 episodes. We are going strong. We’re on Episode 10 right now. Getting that much closer to filming some very fun things.
