Italian shopping brand calls out Ayo Makun for wearing fake Hermes bag

Nigerian award-winning comedian Ayo Makun, otherwise known as AY, has been called out for wearing a fake designer bag.

Italian luxury shopping brand T20luxury called out the comedian on its official Instagram page for wearing a fake Hermes bag. The brand noted how AY is a key stakeholder in the entertainment industry and a beneficiary of genuine creativity and, as such, should desist from supporting the counterfeit fashion industry.

The Italian brand admonished him to uphold authenticity as it is important to preserve his reputation as a leader within the black community.

When many agreed with the brand, others defended the comedian.

This isnโ€™t the fake time AY is being called out for wearing fake designer items. Some years back, an Instagram user dragged him for wearing a fake designer wristwatch, with proof to back up his claims.

Last year, singer, Lyta was embarrassed online by the CEO of popular clothing brand, Ashluxe for wearing a fake version of his clothing shirt. Reacting to it, Lyta expressed love for the brand despite the public humiliation.

His babymama, had weighed into it, making a mockery of him as she noted how the universe doesnโ€™t do right by men who donโ€™t do right by their kids.

Singer Davidoโ€™s elder brother, Adewale Adeleke, had sent a stern warning to the general public over their love for fake designer items. He spoke about how unwise it is to wear fake designers because theyโ€™re easy to spot.

Last year, clergyman, pastor Bolaji Idowu alsoย chastised thoseย living fake lives, informing them that living a fake life will chase oneโ€™s helpers away. Pastor Bolaji also made mention of people who borrow money to afford expensive things, advising them to cut their coats according to their size.
