Running for three seasons, Necessary Roughness is a drama series that focuses on a psychotherapist whose life falls apart once she discovers her husband is cheating on her. After throwing herself into her work, she becomes highly sought-after and lands a job as the therapist for a professional football team. The series is a solid watch that provides plenty of insight into the character’s profession as well as the world of professional sports and celebrities, with a fantastic central performance by Callie Thorne as Dr. Danielle “Dani” Santino.

Meghann Fahy’s role in Necessary Roughness isn’t large by any means, as she only appears in four episodes of season 2, but she does an admirable job with the time she does have on the show. She plays Olivia DiFlorio, the tutor-turned-girlfriend of Dani Santino’s son, Ray Jay Santino, played by Patrick Johnson. Meghann Fahy’s character clashes with Dani Santino throughout her four episodes, and it is a joy to watch.

Following Sigourney Weaver’s Elaine Barrish, the former Governor of Illinois and First Lady now divorced, Political Animals is a miniseries dramedy that explores her becoming Secretary of State while trying to keep her family from falling apart. Political Animals explores politics, love, gender, and various other topics to a great degree and makes for a highly entertaining miniseries in the process, led brilliantly by Sigourney Weaver.

Meghann Fahy appears in four of the show’s six episodes, playing Georgia Gibbons, who is an ambitious young blogger who works for Carla Gugino’s Susan Berg. Originally trying to undermine Elaine Barrish at every turn, Susan Berg and Georgia Gibbons eventually become unlikely allies with her. Meghann Fahy is great in her role, really leaning into the ambitious side of her character and working well alongside Carla Gugino without ever feeling overshadowed.

Released in 2011 as part of Hallmark Hall of Fame, The Lost Valentine follows Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Susan Allison, a TV reporter who is working on a profile of a woman whose husband went MIA in World War II. Like most Hallmark movies, The Lost Valentine is sweetly romantic, tugging at the heart strings throughout as the movie explores two different periods of a woman’s life and the love she experienced.

She plays the younger version of Betty White’s Caroline Robinson Thomas in the flashback scenes utilized throughout the film.

The Perfect Couple is the latest miniseries starring Nicole Kidman, this time following various guests at a lavish wedding that is interrupted by a murder. Though it was divisive among critics, The Perfect Couple is actually one of Nicole Kidman’s most underrated TV shows, with its tongue-in-cheek approach to its narrative really making it an entertaining watch. It is also bolstered by a number of incredible actors who are given a lot of material to work with.

While seemingly vapid, Merritt Monaco is revealed to be a rather complex character.

Channeling a similar type of character to who she played in The White Lotus, Meghann Fahy is remarkable in The Perfect Couple as Merritt Monaco, the best friend and maid of honor to Eve Hewson’s Amelia Sacks, who is getting married. Though Meghann Fahy is the murder victim at the beginning of the series, she is able to explore her character through the large number of flashbacks that are present. While seemingly vapid, Merritt Monaco is revealed to be a rather complex character, and Meghann Fahy is good at finding the core of who she is.

Your Monster is a great romantic horror film with musical elements exploring the character Laura Franco, an actress who is diagnosed with cancer and dumped by her boyfriend, leading her to return to her childhood home. There, she meets a monster living in her closet and the two of them form a complicated friendship that blossoms into something more. Darkly funny, Your Monster is a delightful film that is actually quite heartwarming, with a committed performance by Melissa Barrera as the lead.

Meghann Fahy is remarkable in the supporting role of Jackie Dennon in Your Monster, a Broadway actress that Laura Franco’s ex-boyfriend sets his eyes on. She gets the part meant for Laura, causing a bit of a rivalry between the two characters before they ultimately become friends. Meghann Fahy does an incredible job at pulling back the layers of Jackie throughout the film, until her true character is shown by the end.

Premiering at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, Rebuilding tells the story of a cowboy who winds up in a FEMA camp after his ranch is destroyed in a wildfire. It explores his relationships with his daughter, ex-wife, and the various other people he comes across in the camp. Starring Josh O’Conner (Challengers), Rebuilding is a powerful look at life after a tragedy, and a poignant story of resilience.

Rebuilding is also one of the best performances of Meghann Fahy’s career, as she plays Ruby, the ex-wife of Josh O’Conner’s Dusty and mother to Lilly LaTorre’s Callie Rose. Meghann Fahy’s performance in Rebuilding is an interesting change of pace compared to her roles in The Perfect Couple of The White Lotus, as she plays it much more subtly, digging deep into the character and how she navigates her own troubles.

Airing from 2017 through 2021, The Bold Type was one of Freeform’s premiere television series during its run. The series revolves around the lives of three millennial women living in New York City and working at a global publication. What makes The Bold Type work so well is how smartly written and hip it is, with a fresh take on the workplace drama that is also heavily soap opera-plotted. It’s a great series with some incredible performances.

She is fantastic in the series, working hard to succeed in her field while choosing to take risks to help further her career.
