Uncle Jesse’s iconic Full House scene with Family Matters‘ Steve Urkel has been recreated by John Stamos and Jaleel White in a video 33 years later. The cast of Full House met Urkel (White) when he guest starred in season 4, episode 16, “Stephanie Gets Framed,” which sees D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron) warn that her friend Julie’s (Tasha Scott) cousin is coming to town. This ends up being the famous Family Matters character, who bonds with Jesse (Stamos) throughout the episode despite the major differences between both characters.
Now, Stamos and White have posted a video recreating a scene between Jesse and Urkel in the Full House crossover with Family Matters. The video cuts between the original scene from the 1991 episode and the pair outside in 2025. The present day duo mouth the words from the scene where Jesse teaches Urkel how to walk like he’s “cool.” The video ends as the laugh track plays and the older actors hug and laugh.
