Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like we’ll be getting Moon Knight season 2 anytime soon. However, there are still plenty of other ways Oscar Isaac’s fan-favorite MCU hero could appear at some point in the future. After all, Marc Spector’s journey is far from over following Moon Knight’s season finale, and the same goes for Steven Grant and Jake Lockley.
Unfortunately, it was recently confirmed by Marvel Television’s Brad Winderbaum that Moon Knight season 2 is not in active development. However, Winderbaum also confirmed that this is only because there are current plans for the Fist of Khonshu to be featured elsewhere in the MCU. Keeping that in mind, here are 8 ways the MCU can still use Moon Knight without a second season.

Moon Knight Appears in Avengers: Doomsday/Secret Wars
Joining The Massive MCU Multiverse Cast
Right off the bat, it’s entirely possible that Oscar Isaac could be confirmed as part of the cast for Avengers: Doomsday. While the current Avengers: Doomsday cast announced so far is quite large, it’s been confirmed that more names have yet to be revealed. Seeing how multiple heroes and teams will be coming together from several different realities to fight Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, one could easily imagine Moon Knight suiting up and joining the fight.
It’s also worth noting that Moon Knight is not the only Marvel character Oscar Isaac has played in recent years. He’s also been Apocalypse in Fox’s X-Men universe and Spider-Man 2099 in Sony’s animated Spider-Verse movies. While pure speculation (and likely just wishful thinking), it would be pretty cool if Isaac was brought on to play all three of his Marvel characters in the same multiversal epic, be it Avengers: Doomsday, Secret Wars, or both.

At the time of writing, Daredevil: Born Again season 1 recently concluded. In its finale, New York has been put under martial law by Mayor Wilson Fisk, and the former Kingpin has begun a war against all vigilantes with his new Anti-Vigilante Task Force. As such, the final episode of Daredevil: Born Again saw Matt Murdock determined to bring together an army to bring Fisk down once and for all.

After all, New York is Moon Knight’s typical stomping grounds in the comics, and he did answer Daredevil’s call for aid when Kingpin first became mayor on the page as well.

Moon Knight Has Vampire Experience (Dracula Owes Him Money)
It’s inexplicably taken Marvel Studios years to crack the code on their Blade movie starring Mahershala Ali, and it seems like it has a while longer to go in “development hell” still. That said, perhaps all Blade needs is a solid partner to work alongside, and Moon Knight could be a prime candidate. Tasked by Khonshu with “protecting the travelers of the night”, Moon Knight is no stranger and has plenty of experience when it comes to slaying vampires in the original comics.
It goes without saying that big nerds like Dracula owe Moon Knight money, so who wouldn’t want to see that kind of confrontation in the MCU via a Blade team-up?

Moon Knight Joins An MCU Version Of The Midnight Sons
A More Supernaturally-Focused MCU Team
With recent MCU releases like Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night, there have been theories and speculation that the MCU might one day build up to a Midnight Sons ensemble project. In the comics, the Midnight Sons are a more supernaturally-focused team. Various rosters have primarily included the likes of Doctor Strange, Blade, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, and even The Punisher. As such, it would be pretty cool to see an MCU team of Midnight Sons taking on major supernatural villains like Dracula, Mephisto, Dormammu, and more.

A Full MCU Movie For Moon Knight
Marc, Steven, and Jake On The Big Screen
If Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin and his adopted son can make the jump from Disney+ to The Mandalorian & Grogu movie releasing in 2026, who says Moon Knight couldn’t do the same? Perhaps the time has come for Oscar Isaac to lead his very own MCU movie, continuing his journey as the Fist of Khonshu on the big screen. In place of a second season, it’s hard to think how any Moon Knight fan would be upset if we were to get a full Moon Knight feature instead. It would be pretty cool to see the Fist of Khonshu establish his Midnight Mission in New York, his typical base of operations on the page.

Moon Knight Gets His Own MCU Special Presentation
Continuing Moon Knight’s Story Like Werewolf by Night
In a similar vein, it’s also possible that Moon Knight could get a smaller Special Presentation project in place of a full second season. This would be not unlike Werewolf by Night or even The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which are only about an hour or so long. Perhaps a Special Presentation could help prime Moon Knight for a bigger appearance elsewhere.
After all, Marc and Steven currently think they’re off the hook as Khonshu’s Fist following Moon Knight’s season finale. However, this is only because they’re unaware of Jake Lockely, who’s still working as the moon god’s lethal enforcer. It’s certainly a unique dynamic that would arguably need to be addressed before Moon Knight can appear anywhere else in the MCU.

Moon Knight Could Join A Team of MCU Marvel Knights
Grounded Vigilantes United
Not unlike the aforementioned Midnight Sons, it’s also possible that Moon Knight could join an ensemble like the comics’ Marvel Knights. A roster focused on the most grounded Marvel vigilantes, Moon Knight could fit right in despite his status as an avatar for an Egyptian deity. After all, there was a long period in the Marvel Universe where most other heroes just thought Marc was crazy, and that being the chosen Fist of Khonshu was nothing more than an ongoing hallucination in his head.
The existence of the Marvel Knights in the comics is also just another great reason why Daredevil’s army should include multiple vigilantes in future seasons of Daredevil: Born Again. It’s also further justification that Moon Knight should, at some point, get involved and join some sort of MCU team in the near future.

An MCU West Coast Avengers Project Could Recruit Moon Knight
There’s Been A Few Teases For WCA in the MCU…
It’s worth noting that Moon Knight has also been a member of the West Coast Avengers in the comics. This is especially exciting considering recent and upcoming characters who’ve recently debuted in the MCU, including Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye, White Vision, Wonder Man, U.S. Agent, and America Chavez. Keeping that in mind for some pure speculation, perhaps Marvel Studios is gearing up to have a brand-new roster of Avengers down the line (and Moon Knight could be one of them).
