Nacabs Polytechnic, Akwanga, Nasarawa state, Thursday, matriculated 672 National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Founder of the institution, Mr. Mandy David-Abuluya, disclosed this during the 13th matriculation ceremony of the institution in Akwanga local government area of Nasarawa state.
Abuluya, represented by the deputy rector of the institution, Agbutun David Abuluya, said 86 per cent of the students were on scholarship.
“This year, through the Nacabs Polytechnic Scholarship Scheme, we have extended educational opportunities to several indigent and less privileged students.
“This intervention reflects our core belief that quality education should not be the exclusive privilege of a few, but a right accessible to all, who are willing to learn and grow,” he said.
Abuluya, who is the president, Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA) worldwide, said the school has witnessed tremendous growth and purposeful transformation.
He warned that the institution is committed against cultism and related social vices.
“Our anti-cultism measures are well-structured and actively enforced. We are committed to fostering a campus culture that upholds discipline, dignity, mutual respect, and ethical behaviour because the true purpose of education is not only to enlighten the mind but also to build character,” he said.
Speaking, Rector of the polytechnic, Mr. Timothy Audu Maikori, congratulated the matriculated students and urged them to be hard working in order to excel in life.
