E-Money sends important message to Nigerians about Naira abuse after EFCC’s arrest

Nigerian businessman E-Money has taken to his Instagram page to urge Nigerians to stop spraying Naira notes at parties and events as the practice is not only against the law but also disrespects the Naira.

The call comes after E-Money’s recent arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly spraying United States dollars at an event. Despite his recent brush with the law, E-Money emphasized the importance of respecting the national currency, stating, “The EFCC reminds us that spraying Naira (or any currency) at parties or events is against the law! Let’s celebrate responsibly and avoid fines. Respect our currency!”

E-Money advised individuals who wish to give money at parties to place it in a basket, bowl, or container in front of the person being honored, rather than spraying it. “If you must give money at a party, make sure you put it in a basket, bowl, or box in front of the person at the party. Don’t drop any currency on the floor. The EFCC advises this. Ignorance is not going to be an excuse. Let us be aware and abide by the rules since it’s the law of the land”.
