The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Dr. Mkor Aondona, Special Adviser to the Benue state governor on documentation, research, and planning, over allegations of sextortion, cyberbullying, and non-consensual dissemination of explicit contents.
According to the EFCC, the arrest was made on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Makurdi, following complaints from several female students who accused Dr. Aondona of sexual exploitation, online harassment, and blackmail.
Dr. Aondona allegedly recruited slim and attractive girls for ushering jobs, demanding sex in exchange for selection.
He allegedly recorded explicit videos without the victims’ consent and threatened to leak them if they refused to continue having sex with him.
Dr. Aondona allegedly sent explicit videos of the girls through several messaging platforms, with some videos reportedly in circulation.
The EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, confirmed that the suspect will soon be charged to court.
This development has sparked widespread concern, with many calling for swift justice.
The arrest has also raised questions about the safety and security of female students in Benue state, highlighting the need for increased vigilance and support for victims of such crimes.
