Pastor Adefarasin Reports To Police For Alleged Possession Of Forearm

The senior pastor of House on the Rock and convener of The Experience worship concert, Paul Adefarasin, has reported at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters following the circulation of a viral video that appeared to show him holding a gun object.

The video, which surfaced earlier this month, showed Adefarasin confronting a car spotter who was filming his Range Rover with what looked like a gun.

The incident sparked widespread criticism, with many viewers concerned by what looked like a pistol in the pastorโ€™s hand.

According to Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Adefarasin is currently undergoing interrogation as part of an ongoing investigation into the matter.

โ€œNo one is above the law!,โ€ Hundeyin disclosed to journalists on Tuesday.

โ€œPastor Paul Adefarasin has turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja and is currently being interrogated by detectives who have commenced investigation on the case since a video surfaced online showing the pastor holding a gun-like object against another road user, while driving in an unregistered vehicle.

โ€œThe outcome of the investigation will be made public.โ€

Adefarasin denied carrying or pointing a firearm at anyone when the video went viral.

In a public statement, he emphasized, โ€œI want to assure you of this โ€” that that was certainly not a firearm, and at no point did I point such at anyone.โ€

He reiterated his stance during a sermon on June 8, expressing emotional distress over the incident.
