Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has sworn in 18 administrators of the administrative councils in the state.
During the inauguration at the Lafia City Hall on Monday, Sule charged the administrators to imbibe the tenets of his administration, anchored on principles of transparency, accountability, prudent management of resources and fear of God.
He also urged them to support and complement the efforts of the elected local government chairmen for smooth development.
Sule further gave assurance of his administration’s continuous determination to develop good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
Speaking with Blueprint shortly after the inauguration, the administrator of Umaisha Administrative Council, Hon. Salihu Hasheem Kasim, expressed gratitude to the governor for the appointment and pledged his commitment to effective service delivery.
He thanked the former speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, for the support he rendered to the Umaisha community and pledged to work closely with the Toto local government chairman and stakeholders to improve the living standard of people of the area.
Kasim added that he will synergise with the ministry for local government and community development through the Toto local government chairman for the smooth realisation of the policies and programmes of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
He promised to prioritise the welfare and security of the people of Umaisha and implement policies and programmes that raise their quality of life.

He added that he will partner with other NGOs to reduce youth restiveness.
In her contribution, Hajiya Fatima Sani, who is also a member of the Umaisha administrative council, appreciated the governor for finding them worthy of appointment.
She said they will give all the necessary support to the administrator to achieve his goals and bring more dividends of democracy and development to Umaisha.
