Unubiko Scholarship Beneficiaries Share Stories Of Rekindled Hopes

In a heartwarming display of gratitude and ambition, several beneficiaries of the prestigious 2025 Unubiko Scholarship Award recently opened up about their experiences and future plans, after receiving their school fees from the foundation.

Recall that the Unubiko Foundation , on the 18th of April, celebrated 170 beneficiaries of her 2025 Scholarship award, making a significant impact on their lives.

In an exclusive interview with THE WHISTLER on Friday, some of the beneficiaries shared their experiences and aspirations

Johnson Success, a medical student of University of Port Harcourt said she was motivated to apply for the scholarship due to her passion for medicine and her desire to make a difference in her community.

โ€œI want to provide quality healthcare to underserved populations and make a positive impact on their lives and with this scholarship, I strongly believe that my dreams wonโ€™t be cut short,โ€ she said.

Solomon Ugochukwu, an Engineering Student of Micheal Okapra University of Agriculture said he was inspired to apply for the scholarship due to his interest in renewable energy and sustainable development.

โ€œI want to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that address climate change and promote sustainable development,โ€ he said.

Solomon plans to use the scholarship to fund his engineering studies and pursue a research project on solar energy.

โ€œThis scholarship will enable me to explore new technologies and develop practical solutions for sustainable energy,โ€ he explained.

Iwuoha Chinwendu, a Law student of Abia State University, expressed her deep gratitude for the award, which will enable her to continue to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer.

โ€œThis scholarship is a huge blessing, and Iโ€™m determined to use it to make a positive impact in the legal field,โ€ she said.

Chinwendu spoke about the financial struggles she faced as a law student, but with the support of the scholarship, sheโ€™s now able to focus on her studies.

โ€œIโ€™m grateful for this opportunity, and Iโ€™m committed to using my knowledge to advocate for justice and human rights,โ€ she added.

She aspires to become a human rights lawyer, using her skills to protect the vulnerable and promote social justice.

โ€œI believe that everyone deserves access to justice, and Iโ€™m committed to making a difference in my community,โ€ she stated.

These scholarship beneficiaries demonstrate the potential and aspirations of young people in various fields.
