The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Zamfara State has elected new executive members, with Alhaji Kabiru Garba emerging as state chairman following a consensus-based congress held on Monday.
The peaceful state congress produced a new leadership team comprising Kabiru Aliyu Bakura as Vice Chairman, Sanusi Falalu as Secretary, Abdullahi Dahiru as Auditor, Ganiya Sani as Women Leader, and Abdulkarim Umar as Publicity Secretary, among others.
The exercise was attended by delegates from all 14 local government areas of the state and supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman, Kabiru Garba, pledged to reposition the party and strengthen its structure ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence in ADC’s prospects in Zamfara State.
He promised inclusive leadership and stronger grassroots mobilisation, stressing that the party would address past shortcomings and reposition itself for electoral success.
“I believe ADC is equal to the task; we would reposition all that went wrong as a result of bad leadership,” he said.
Garba further assured supporters that the party would work towards securing victory in the 2027 elections in the state.
