FIFA has announced that the official draws for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar and the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco will be held at its headquarters in Zurich on 21 May 2026.
The announcement comes after successful editions of both tournaments last year. In the men’s U-17 World Cup hosted by Qatar, Portugal won the competition, which featured 48 teams. In the women’s tournament held in Morocco, with 24 teams, North Korea (Korea DPR) emerged champions. FIFA says both competitions have helped improve youth football development around the world.
The draw ceremony will include football legends and representatives from the host countries, and it will be broadcast live globally.
The 2026 U-17 World Cup in Qatar will take place from 19 November to 13 December and will feature 48 teams. The U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco will run from 17 October to 7 November with 24 teams competing.
