The Presidency on Monday said President Bola Tinubu has made remarkable progress in transforming Nigeria, insisting that his administration has delivered projects that Nigerians can be proud of.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, stated this while briefing journalists ahead of a planned nationwide tour of project sites executed under the current administration.
TheTimes Nigeria reports that Onanuga, who was flanked by other presidential media aides, explained that the projects span all states of the federation and cover critical sectors, including infrastructure, human capital development and economic growth.
He said the tour was aimed at verifying and showcasing the administration’s achievements so far.
“The purpose of this tour is to showcase in full what the administration has been able to do so far in order to show its seriousness and commitment to the transformation of the whole country. These projects cut across all sectors of the economy and are in all the states of the federation,” he said.
The presidential spokesman expressed confidence that Nigerians would appreciate the scale of progress once the projects are unveiled.
“By the time these projects are unveiled to Nigerians, it would be very clear to all that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has changed the landscape of Nigeria and has indeed renewed the hope of Nigerians,” Onanuga added.
Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Tunde Rahman, disclosed that the media would soon begin monitoring projects undertaken by the administration across the country.
He said the initiative would help highlight efforts aimed at giving Nigeria a new lease of life and improving citizens’ welfare.
At the briefing, top government officials from the health, transport and information ministries outlined key milestones recorded so far, noting that the administration had repositioned the country to better meet the needs of Nigerians.
Speaking on the health sector, Nasiru Mohammed highlighted the Presidential Initiative to unlock the sector, noting that it had boosted local drug production and reduced costs.
He added that the Executive Order signed by the President had also attracted interest from multinational pharmaceutical companies willing to invest in Nigeria.
An official of the Information Ministry, Rabiu Musa, pointed to the introduction of the National Education Loans Fund as a major milestone in the education sector.
He said the scheme had made funds available to Nigerian students to pursue their education with ease, describing it as unprecedented.
According to him, the initiative represents a significant step towards expanding access to higher education and easing financial burdens on students.
The Presidency maintained that the various initiatives and projects undertaken so far demonstrate the administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises and addressing key challenges across sectors.
It expressed optimism that ongoing reforms would continue to yield positive results and further improve the lives of Nigerians.
