‘Na Frustration You Inherit From Your Papa’

Nigerian music producer and songwriter, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has responded to criticism from singer T-Dot, dismissing claims that his success is tied to his father’s wealth amid an ongoing social media feud involving DJ Tunez.

TheTimes Nigeria reports that the exchange is the latest twist in an ongoing online spat between Davido and DJ Tunez, the official disc jockey to Wizkid.

The controversy began after DJ Tunez shared a post featuring Wizkid in a gym outfit with the caption, “Original, no be fake,” which many interpreted as a subtle jab at Davido, who had recently appeared in a similar outfit.

Davido, who appeared to take offence, responded with a series of posts mocking the DJ.

Davido Mocks DJ Tunez

In his reaction, Davido referenced a recent altercation involving DJ Tunez and Burna Boy, where the DJ was reportedly knocked to the ground.

“You’re just a disgusting, nasty fellow. Dem use boot carry your steeze forever. Idiot.

“E wa woo! Look, he’s on the floor,” Davido wrote.

T-Dot Defends DJ Tunez

Wading into the controversy, singer T-Dot defended DJ Tunez, insisting that the DJ was not defeated during the altercation.

According to him, DJ Tunez was outnumbered by Burna Boy and his associates.

“Tunez can never lose his steeze for that. He was 1vs10 and punched your besty right in the mouth when he saw they meant him harm. Where I’m from, that shows heart,” he wrote.

T-Dot, however, took a swipe at Davido, describing him as a “daddy’s boy” who relies on his father’s wealth and security.

“You never stood nowhere on this earth 10 toes down without your dad’s money, security, and your boys,” he added.

Reacting, Davido noted that the popular comment linking him to his father’s wealth is already stale. He lampooned T-Dot, saying he understands his remark because he (T-Dot) inherited ‘frustration’ from his father.

“Your daddy, your daddy, nah, only thing Una know … why ur papa no hustle … shut up n slide for Tunez.

“Na frustration you see inherit from your papa e reach to dey vex,” Davido wrote.

“Go face who offend Una … make una free me .. stop trying to change direction … go slide!” he added on his 𝕏 handle.
