Media personality Rufai Oseni has reacted to the latest increase in petrol price after discovering that fuel reportedly rose from ₦1,225 to ₦1,335 per litre within a day.
Speaking during a morning broadcast, Rufai questioned the impact of subsidy removal and asked what relief measures have been introduced to help Nigerians cope with worsening economic hardship.
“I went to the fueling station to get fuel this morning and it turns out from N1,225, the price has gone up to N1,335. The price went up in the space of one day.”
He further challenged the government on the effect of its economic reforms.
“My question is, with all the subsidy being pulled out by the government, what have you done to stop the people from facing head on these challenges that the economy is bringing to them?”
His comments quickly sparked reactions on X (formerly Twitter), where many Nigerians shared frustration over the rising cost of living.
