The freebie on Steam is a prologue for a game called Police Chief Simulator. Formally called Police Chief Simulator: Prologue – Early Days, the demo is a 100% free introduction to the full version of the game. In it, you’ll be an officer working for the Winston Springs Police Station. Your job is to handle reports, help renovate and expand the station, solve cases, and help the local authorities fight crime.
In a sense, the indie game developed by Perfect Circle Team S.A. is like the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 in reverse. Instead of running around committing crimes, you’ll be moving around Winston Springs trying to impede those very crimes from being committed. The prologue will give players a better sense of how the game works, what the gameplay loop and mechanics are, and much more.
