‘You’ve left an imprint of excellence’ — Tinubu celebrates Mike Adenuga at 73

President Bola Tinubu has celebrated Mike Adenuga, chairman
of Globacom and Conoil, on his 73rd birthday, describing him as a colossus in
the business landscape.

 

In a congratulatory message on Tuesday, Tinubu said
Adenuga’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of Africa’s foremost
entrepreneurs showed vision and belief in the Nigerian enterprise.

 

Tinubu said the businessman has left “an imprint of
excellence” across multiple sectors.

 

“From telecommunications, real estate, banking, and oil and
gas, he has put an imprint of excellence on the Nigerian enterprise,” the
statement reads.

 

 

The president added that Adenuga’s life has served as an
inspiration for younger generations.

 

“I congratulate the Guru, a businessman with the Midas
touch, on his birthday today, April 29,” he said.

 

“Mike’s life is an affirmation of the audacity of hope,
belief, and vision. From humble beginnings, he rose to become one of Africa’s
finest entrepreneurs.

 

 

“His achievements in business are a testament to the immense
possibilities of the Nigerian enterprise and an inspiration to the younger
generation that, through hard work, innovation, and resilience, they can rise
to become standout men and women of their generation.”

 

Tinubu commended the contributions of Adenuga in arts,
culture, sports, and entertainment, adding that his support has sustained
festivals and created platforms for young creatives to thrive.

 

“I commend Mike for his consistent support for our arts,
culture, sports, and entertainment sectors,” the president added.

 

“With his support, culturally significant festivals across
the country have been sustained, as well as entertainment events that unleash
the creativity of Nigerian youths.

 

“I also laud his many humanitarian endeavours across
education and healthcare, and encourage him not to stop giving back to the
people.”
