The Nigerian international had been expected to feature in what would have been an emotional return to the Emirates Stadium, where he began his professional career before moving on.

Fulham manager Marco Silva confirmed the setback, revealing that Iwobi is still dealing with a hamstring problem picked up during a goalless draw against Brentford FC two weeks ago.

“Alex (Iwobi) is out still, plus Kevin,” Silva said while giving an update on his squad.

The injury means Fulham will be without one of their key attacking players at a crucial stage of the season, as they continue to push for a strong finish.

Silva also hinted at uncertainty around other players, with late fitness checks still ongoing.

“Kenny (Tete), we will have to see how he reacts to the last two sessions. He can probably be involved in the game.”

For Iwobi, missing this fixture carries extra weight. Facing Arsenal would have marked a return to the club where he rose through the ranks and made his name in the Premier League.

Now, the focus shifts to recovery. With the season entering its final stretch, Fulham will be hoping the 29-year-old regains full fitness soon to play a role in their remaining matches.
