The “Sungba” crooner explained that relocating to Lagos after graduating from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife marked a turning point in his life.
According to him, the city didn’t just offer opportunities, it shaped his mindset.
“Lagos taught me how to live like a man. Lagos inspired most of my songs.”
Asake noted that the experiences, struggles, and energy of the city have all found their way into his music, helping him connect with listeners on a deeper level.
Despite his rapid rise and global success, the singer remains grounded, acknowledging that many talented artists are yet to be discovered.

“I’m happy because there are a lot of people who make music out there and a lot of people who are more talented than me. I’m thankful to God that I’m able to use the talent He gave me, not only locally but also globally.”
