According to him, his wife, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, is capable in the kitchen but simply doesn’t enjoy it; a reality they have both embraced without pressure.
“There are some men who insist their wives must cook, but my wife does not really cook, even though she can cook very well, it’s just not her thing.”
He explained that their relationship is built on understanding and compatibility rather than rigid roles.
“Some people come to our house and see me cooking and feel uncomfortable, but it works for us.”

Banky W encouraged couples to focus on what works within their own relationships instead of trying to meet societal expectations.
“What works for you will be different from somebody else. Don’t live your life by somebody else’s rules.”
Beyond household dynamics, the singer also spoke emotionally about their journey to parenthood, particularly the challenges they faced with fertility.
He praised his wife’s resilience during multiple IVF attempts, describing the process as both physically and emotionally demanding.
“I’ve seen her go through things that would break people. She kept getting back up, going through cycle after cycle, even injecting herself with medications.”
According to him, witnessing her strength changed his perspective on responsibilities at home, making everyday tasks like cooking seem insignificant in comparison.
The couple eventually welcomed their son, Hezekiah, marking the end of a long and challenging journey; one Banky W describes as a testament to faith, patience, and perseverance.
