Secret Invasion has finally arrived on our screens but which songs feature in its soundtrack and who composed its moody score?
Even in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, music plays a key role as iconic songs have been littered throughout key moments in the superhero franchise.
Despite its grittier and moody tone, the Disney+ series Secret Invasion is no different but which songs can be heard in the show’s soundtrack and who is the composer behind the series?
Secret Invasion release date and plot preview
Secret Invasion exploded onto Disney+ on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
Following the first run-in with the Skrulls in 2019’s Captain Marvel, Secret Invasion sees the shapeshifting aliens return with a vengeance.
Nick Fury, who had been off-world, is forced to return to Earth after learning of a clandestine threat posed by a rogue group of Skrulls.
Fury must gather together his ever-shrinking group of allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, and prepare to combat this secret invasion.
Secret Invasion soundtrack
As with all Marvel series, Secret Invasion is set to feature plenty of music and the songs that have featured in the show’s soundtrack so far are:

New songs will be added as each episode arrives. Secret Invasion will consist of six episodes in total.
Who composed the score?
As well as the licensed songs that will appear in each episode, Secret Invasion also features an original score that is the work of Kris Bowers.
Born in Los Angeles, California, the American composer has been creating music for films, TV shows and documentaries for over a decade.
Fans will most likely recognize his work on the likes of 2018’s Oscar-winning Green Book, For The People, the Madden NFL video games, Black Monday, Dear White People, King Richard, Raising Dion and Inventing Anna.
Arguably Bowers’ most famous work, however, has come for the Netflix series Bridgerton, as well as its recent spin-off series, Queen Charlotte.
To coincide with the release of Secret Invasion, one track from the series’ score has been released on the likes of Spotify and Apple Music, with a full album expected to follow after more episodes have aired.
Secret Invasion is available to stream now on Disney+ after premiering on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
