Mr Macaroni speaks on reconciling Don Jazzy, D’Banj

Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, a comedian and social media influencer, recently spoke about the reconciliation of two music industry veterans, Michael Collins Ajereh (Don Jazzy) and Daniel Oyebanjo (D’Banj).
The two had founded the Mo Hit Records in 2004, which was a prominent record label in Nigeria until their split in 2012. However, on Friday, both the artists reconciled after 12 years of separation.
In a viral video posted on Friday, D’banj and DonJazzy were seen hugging each other and sharing pleasantries.
The video was a promotional video for Dbanj’s new single, ‘Since 04’, which paid tribute to the now-defunct Mo Hit Records. Mr Macaroni reposted this video on his social media account to celebrate his birthday, which was on the same day.
However, a past tweet by Mr Macaroni led to speculation that he had initiated the reconciliation between the two artists.
In 2013, Mr Macaroni had tweeted about having a feeling that he would reconcile D’Banj and Don Jazzy.
He , however, has clarified that he was not involved in the reconciliation as both artists were already on good terms. He added that he was happy to see them together again.
Mo Hit Records had several artists, including Don Jazzy, D’Banj, Dr. Sid, and Wande Coal, among others. After the breakup, Don Jazzy started a new record label known as Mavin Records, while D’Banj signed with Kanye West’s Good Music. D’Banj later started DB Records and signed his younger brother K-Switch, two producers Jaysleek and Deevee, and Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh to the label.
