” The efforts Ribadu is putting to address kidnapping has yielded results as Adamawa people now sleep with their two eyes closed,” he said.
Making the commendation at the state headquarters of Muslim council today when NSA paid the council a courtesy visit, the chairman of the council Alh. Gambo Jika noted that “Ribadu’s family supported Islamic activities significantly in Yola.”
He noted that the contributions of the late father of Ribadu, Ambassador Ahmadu Ribadu was extraordinarily phenomenal praying Allah to repose his soul in his paradise for the immense benefits he brought to Islam and Muslims.
Jika noted that he could not forget how Ahmadu Ribadu always ask them to pray for the continued peace and harmony in the land during functions adding that at no time did he ask them to pray for his family.
In his response, Ribadu who said he has worked closely with the council for time immemorial said he could mention the names of all the members of the council without mistake.
He praised the leadership of Adamawa Muslim Council and also their counterparts in Taraba State for their excellent conduct urging them to maintain the tempo.
Ribadu urged the council to continue to support the administration of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu as it meant well for the north.
He said the love which president Tinubu has for the north has manifested in the very critical role he gives the north in his government stating that the north is given critical portfolios such as the SGF, NSA, ministry of education, health, interior, defense both state and substantive ministers.
He informed the Muslim council that the government of president Tinubu has inherited a fractured economy and great social dislocation but expressed optimism that there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
He said the situation was so bad that at a point crude oil production was less than a million barrel per day adding that the situation is a far contrast from what obtains today.
He noted that the administration is also working seriously to end the menace of banditry and Boko Haram.
He noted that the effort of the government in ridding the nation of deadly outlaws has led to the neutralization of notorious criminals like Kacahalla, Boderi, Dangote and host of others.
The NSA said that unlike in the past where train and train stations come under regular attacks while Abuja – Kaduna highway has become a death trap and IPOB willingly issues sit at home orders and attack police stations at will, the situation now has completely changed.
