Taylor Swift Expands The Eras Tour: Adds Seven New Songs for European Leg Kickoff

Taylor Swift expands The Eras Tour setlist with seven new songs for European dates, delighting fans with fresh additions.

Pop sensation Taylor Swift has commenced the European leg of The Eras Tour in France, introducing a fresh setlist that resonates with her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. The singer has added seven new songs from her record-breaking album to the acclaimed Eras Tour setlist.

To accommodate the new additions, Taylor Swift had to remove six songs from her three-hour setlist, including fan favorites “The Archer” from 2019’s Lover and “Long Live” from 2010’s Speak Now. This revamp means that Swift is performing songs from her April release live for the first time, including “Fortnight” and “Down Bad”.

A new era also brings new costumes. Swift unveiled a white corset dress adorned with lyrics in The Tortured Poets Department’s font. The dress was later removed on-stage to reveal a sparkly black bralette and high-waisted shorts co-ord, which she paired with a gold ringmaster jacket reminiscent of the Red Tour.

Taylor Swift also introduced more new outfits, including her iconic Lover bodysuit, now in red, and a new black, silver, and gold fringed dress to represent the Fearless era.

Taylor Swift took to the stage at La Défense Arena, Paris, opening with her usual number, “Miss America & the Heartbreak Prince,” before transitioning into “Cruel Summer”. Later in the show, she combined the sister albums Folklore and Evermore, both surprise records during the Covid lockdown, into one “Folkmore” era.

During the acoustic set at the May 9 show, she performed a live debut of “Paris” (from the Grammy award-winning Midnights) and “loml” (from The Tortured Poets Department). However, the tracks for this segment are likely to change from show to show throughout the European tour dates, as was customary in her previous Eras Tour setlist.
