Ayo Kuti, the son of Afrobeat musician Femi Kuti, says he
lost his virginity at 16 after learning his father had done so at 17.
In a recent live stream with Davreal, the 18-year-old said
he lost his virginity earlier because he wanted to outdo his father to be
“number one in my family”.
“The only reason I lost my virginity at 16 was because my
dad told me he lost his at 17. So I said, ‘Okay, I have to be number one in my
family’…My dad is a bad boy,” he said.
“The reason I lost my virginity at 16 is because my dad told me that he lost his at 17. Cuz I want to be number one in my family. My dad is a very bad boy.”

He also claimed that his parents do not share the same bed
due to concerns about sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), saying it is not
practised in their home.
“My parents also don’t sleep on the same bed because of
STDs. We don’t do that in our house,” he added.
Femi, who is the son of the late Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti,
is also known for being open about his views on sex and marriage.
In a 2012 interview, the singer revealed that his marriage
to Funke Kuti ended because he could not be a faithful partner.
“My marriage didn’t last because, my wife didn’t listen to
me I told her l loved women. I like women around me and I will not be faithful
to one woman. My wife wasn’t comfortable with my fame and the women in my life
and that was why we had to part ways,” he said.
