Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has stated that the United States has suffered what he described as a defeat in its recent actions against Iran.
In a written message that was read out on Iranian state television on Thursday, he claimed that after what he called a large military deployment and aggressive moves in the region over the past two months, the United States failed to achieve its goals.
He described the outcome as a “disgraceful defeat” for the US.
Khamenei further said that these developments mark the beginning of a new phase in the geopolitical situation of the Persian Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route for oil and trade.
His comments come amid rising tensions in the Middle East, where Iran and the United States, along with their allies, have continued to engage in political and military confrontations.
The situation remains sensitive, with both sides frequently exchanging strong statements and warnings.
