Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) under Operation HADIN KAI have intensified offensive operations against terrorist groups in Borno State, neutralising several insurgents and destroying their key hideouts in coordinated ground and air assaults.
Security sources revealed that the operations, conducted as part of Operation Desert Sanity V, targeted terrorist enclaves in the Bulabulin Forest and Timbuktu axes, with significant support from the Air Component of the operation.
The troops engaged the terrorists effectively, resulting in the elimination of scores of fighters while dismantling their logistical bases and hideouts.
The combined ground and aerial efforts forced surviving insurgents to flee in disarray.
This latest push forms part of ongoing efforts to degrade the operational capabilities of Boko Haram and ISWAP remnants in the region and restore security to affected communities in Borno State.
